7 yr old fits well. he is 52 inch tall.hes about 52 lbs. hits right below his ankle.perfect then black socks will barely be seen with some original chinese flat slip ons.red ties can be put them anywhere. they have no prob. staying on my kid. love this Velcro for the ninja stars, velcro in back has 3 spots to close up the back.i plan to add more. this is really a good looking costume. details r great. mask has 4 ties that go behind the head, its a separate piece all together, which i like. sheer nylon breathable. costume attaches to the head piece seen in pic. which i love!! if you want more cut out than do take your scissors and make a bigger opening for larger faces.
