I purchased this cover as a replacement for the Amazon cover that I purchased originally for my Kindle Oasis. The reason for the purchase was that I had dropped my Oasis on the floor, and it broke the corner of the cover so that it was uncomfortable to hold due to the sharp plastic edge on the broken corner.The fabric is pleasant to the hand and attractive. I've had Amazon leather covers as well as this fabric cover, and they all work the same - it is simply a matter of personal preference if you want the feel and appearance of one over the other.I do prefer Amazon covers over other suppliers. I've tried third party covers in the past, with mixed results, and have concluded that its worth paying a bit more for the Amazon cover since they are consistently well made and always fit perfectly.
