The boots were good when I tried them on in the house and at the barn while I was on the ground. They were soft inside, comfortable and warm. If they were just winter boots I would have given them 4 or 5 stars. When I got on my horse I started to get worried because the toes barely fit in the stirrups and I was afraid that is I fell off my foot might get stuck. As I rode two things became apparent: 1) the boot size only allowed my toes to be in the stirrups not the ball of my foot. 2) the stretch made the boots not secure on my foot so they slid down and off my leg. I eventually just dropped my stirrups. Even after dropping my stirrups the boots slid down my leg making the whole ride a bit awkward.I would return them but unfortunately, I wore them to the barn since they felt so good at home.Lesson learned.
