My Kindle Voyage is still by far the best Kindle, out of like 5 different models I've owned so far (I wish they'd come out with a new Voyage-like model, instead of the Oasis or Paperwhite which have different shortcomings compared to the Voyage, at least according to most reviews). My Voyage is getting old (5 years old now) and the old origami case (best case I've ever owned too) was shredding around the edges.So I took a chance and got this new case, for my trusty old Voyage. It's not as good as the original origami case, it's a very different style and implementation design, but it's pretty reasonable, and I'm getting used to it.And this new case has rejuvenated my experience with my trusty Voyage.It's a little thick, there's a bizarre pouch making the front thicker. The inside is a kind of pouch too, with folded edges and cutouts all around; so the Voyage doesn't tightly snap into place like in the original origami case, but rather, with this new case, once you open the front and fold it around the back, to insert the Voyage you fold a small left side flap open (took me a few minutes to discover this secret, the inner left side flap), slide the Voyage in from the left, then fold the left flap back in place, and voila the Voyage is securely, but not tightly, held. (different than the original origami case, which had the Voyage snap into place)I think actually the slight thickness/looseness, of how the Voyage is enclosed in this case, provides more padding protection against damage from accidental dropping.The magnets in the front of this case do work, but you have to kind of squeeze the case closed, to make sure they engage and hold closed and signal the Voyage to shut off. I was afraid that the looseness might mean that the case might inadvertently slip open so the magnets come loose and turn the Voyage on when I haven't fully opened the case, but that hasn't happened yet, in the few days I've been using it so far. That is my biggest concern about this new case -- the old origami case folded open and shut with a definitive snap so the magnets always properly turned the Voyage on/off.I still miss how the original origami case folded completely open hinged at the top so when open it was all flush (vs. this new case hinging open from the left side and then the front flap staying loose, although you can fold it around back it is still loose). And I did use the origami case's ability to fold origami style to form a stand at the bottom in back, I didn't use that all the time but it did come in handy sometimes; oh well, this new case has no such capability.One small thing is that the bottom of this new case covers the green/amber light which indicates when the Voyage is on, and when charging vs fully charged, but that's not a big deal; I can peer in at an angle to see the light if I need to check the status. The power button on the back side of the Voyage is perfectly accessible through a correctly placed round cutout in this new case.One other very small thing, the product description says this case is made of "natural PU leather" -- well "PU" leather is NOT "natural", it's artificial. But it feels OK.A must for Kindle readers. Highly recommend.This is a beautiful PU leather cover! I love the color and quality feel of this cover. The cover is also sturdy. I have yet to drop the kindle, like I sometimes do when it falls off my bed, so I can not comment on the corner protection of the cover, but it appears it will do just fine. There is also a small folder like pocket on the front to slide a note or card in. I have a kindle voyage and it fits perfectly. However, at that time the case was only available in a vintage brown which reminded me of a book in an old library....like at Hogwarts. It speaks of nothing but quality, but I was yearning for something of a more feminine bent, in my favorite blue color. In between I bought a Kindle Oasis and decided to send it back inside 24 hours of owning it, much preferring my Voyage. So, in renewed admiration of my Kindle Voyage, I decided to spring for a new case. I purchased this one and am so very pleased with it. Just visually, it is very feminine looking with a vintage feel. Looks kind of romantic, really. The inside of the cover is gray and felt-like with a shadow of the "Vintage" logo embellishing it. Not only do the hidden magnets in the case cause the Kindle to turn on and off by just opening and closing the case, but also lend some strength to the case staying closed. When you open the case, you have to pull it a bit to open it, but just a gentle pull. There are exact cut outs for the charging port and light, and the on/off button on the back of the device (even though you won't need to use that). Another nice thing is that there is just a flap to tuck around and in on the left once you slide the Voyage into the sleeve on the right side of the case. The other case I had was a tad bulkier and had a velcro lined flap securing the device in the case. However, this case is just a bit more lightweight, which I actually enjoy more. Since I purchased this case, the other case I had is now available in the exact same color as this one....as you can see by my link to the other product. But, I think I prefer this one slightly more for its less bulky nature and feminine quality. Also, some people mentioned that they didn't like the "Vintage You are the Best" writing on the front of the case, but on mine it's not darkened, it's just an engraving into the cover. It's not something that screams out at you. You can hardly even read it from afar. It just looks like pretty writing. My Kindle Voyage is used strictly for bedtime reading as I love the feature on the Voyage of "Nightlight" and how it auto adjusts, very gradually, to the dark. So, I enjoy a "book-like" case in my hands, such as this. This was a great purchase.I like the looks and the front sleave that can carry a small pack of note paper.My kindle Voyage will be 7 years old in January and it finally started to show it's age. The battery life shortened quite a bit and the cover edges frayed. I think the Voyage is one of the best they made and it's no longer in production. So, I got a battery replacement kit for it and this new cover. While quite a bit more substantial than the old cover, it also protects it much better. Easy to snap in, and all the holes line up. Couldn't ask for anything more.This cover makes your Kindle look, and feel like a high class padded leather bound book. It feels the same when you're reading it as well. Very nice.So, my Voyage should be good for another 7 years. It's nicer now than when it was new. I don't think I put 60 dollars into it in total. Yay for our side.Kindle Voyage fits perfectly leaving access to all ports and functions. Materials used give a feel of quality. Makes Kindle easier to handle while reading.I usually get the super slim covers - and they break within a year (yes, I tend to occasionally drop my Kindle). This one is thicker and has more padding. I'm hoping it extends the life of my Voyage - they don't make them anymore.Loved this cover, I purchased a few at the same time - but this is by far my favourite. It is beautiful to touch, and so well balanced to hold, it makes reading a real pleasure.The embellishment on the front has been very tastefully designed, and the affirmation of 'You are the Best' starts your reading experience on a positive vibe.The colour is very on trend in a beautiful blend of rose gold and pink. You have to see it to appreciate the way it shimmers in different lights.To sum it up, it looks a very sumptuous, high end cover.I love my new kindle cover.
